Fan art & Fan fiction Contest

Samehada and I have decided to launch a fan art and fan fiction contest with the end prize of a 3000 yen CD Japan gift certificate for each. Rules are under the more.. continue reading for all the information you need.

To enter the contest, you must send your entries to contest@jrockvisual.com.

– Rules for the JV Fiction Contest –

1. Under no circumstance may any porn, PWP(Plot? What Plot?), or anything that suggests hentai/relationships about any musician/artist may be entered.  We’re looking for plot, not omg-lets-get-his-clothes-off-mansex.

2. Only one entry per contestant, per category. In other words, don’t enter both contests…give someone else a chance.

3. Entries will be in by July 25, 2008, and posted for voting to an as yet to be created live journal community for voting by the fans.

4. Results will be posted on the blog, the livejounal community, and the winner will be emailed by July 31, 2008, unless we get absolutely swamped with entries, then results will be delayed and this will be announced.

5. Only one winner per category. Ties will be decided by staff vote.

6. NO STAFF OR VOLUNTEER STAFF MAY ENTER!

7. Work must be created for this contest, i.e. no prior submissions of your entry to any other comm.

8. All entries will be emailed to contest@jrockvisual.com, with the subject line “Fan fiction contest”

What is allowed:

1. Your entry must include the Jrock theme. It can be based from a song, an album, a PV, a jrock artist, or a jrock band.
2. When you send the entry, please include the following:
Your name (or internet alias)
Contest you’re entering (fiction or art)
Theme (artist, music, album you’re representing etc)
Email address you want the gift certificate sent to.

Genre(s):
Synopsis:

– Genre Listing (allowed) –

AU/AR (alternate universe/reality)
Humor (think stage goofs, etc)
Fluff (no yaoi fluff; think birthday or holiday)
Death (keep it tasteful; nothing grapic)
Romance (it has to have a plot; tasteful)
Poetry (haiku, ballads, etc)
