Upcoming Concerts (Plus Miku’s Retarded Engrish XD)

There are quite a few upcoming concerts here in the US (one in Tennessee!!). Maybe there’s one in your area?

4/29 Melt Banana’s in Asheville (NC) tonight with Lou Reed at The Orange Peel,

4/30 Melt Banana’s also in Knoxville (TN) at the Tennessee Theatre tomorrow.

5/25 Antic Cafe will be at the Fanime 2008 Convention in San Jose (CA) at San Jose McEnery Convention Center (that’s memorial day weekend *squee*)

Here is Miku’s Engrish message (from his sheet of paper) with the rest on An Cafe standing on.

(He’s cute, lol)

There will be an autographs event before the concert on Sunday, then on Monday the 26th, there will be a Meet the Guests event, Q&A Portion (I hope they have a translator, XD) and more signings. The actual times are TBA. The Meet the Guests event is not included with the FanimeCon membership purchase and has limited attendance.

From FanimeCon:

Meet the Guests is a special event that is not yet finalized. Currently, it is planned to be a separate, ticketed event, with limited attendance, in which fans will be able to mingle with band members while enjoying a catered meal. This event would not be included with membership. As details are finalized, information will be posted on the website.

For those of you who can’t be there (like me *cries*), you can contact Fanime to send them a gift ( musicfest@fanime.com) to congratulate their first US performance (!!!!).

5/14 Miyavi US Circuit starts with House of Blues in Anaheim (CA)

5/16 Miyavi moves on to Los Angeles (CA) at Avalon

5/18 Miyavi ends the US Circuit of THIS IZ THE JAPANESE KABUKI ROCK TOUR 2008 in San Francisco (CA) at Slim’s.

5/30 Versailles and Budo Grape will perform at the A-Kon in Dallas (TX) at Adam’s Mark Hotel and Convention Center.

6/03 Versailles will also perform at The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles (CA). Doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $17 in advance and $30 at the door.

That’s it for now, folks, but there can only be more to come. (US POPULARITY! FINALLY!)

  1. LMAO!!!!!! that vid was freaking funny man I love Miku!!!

  2. I love when they try to speak English. Its hilarious when they start typing it and they are one vowel short of the right word. XDD

  3. maybe we should tell them?

  4. Nah, thousands of others already have.

  5. I don’t think I could listen to them attempting English without snickering, or breaking out into laughter altogether, lol. But Miku’s cute, so i’d have to give him a hug and apologize afterwards. Maybe not in Japanese. Then there might be reason to laugh at ME 😄
